Charleston Marine Inventory
Buying a new boat
Purchasing a new boat at a premier dealer is more than choosing a model and signing paperwork. Our job is to make sure the boat is properly prepared, tested, equipped and familiar to you before delivery to make sure you get the most smiles per hour possible.

We work with each customer to match the boat, engine package, electronics and options to the way they plan to use it. Whether the boat is already in stock or being ordered from the factory, our team can help with configuration, rigging, accessory installation and final delivery preparation.
Every New Boat Sale Includes
Every new boat purchased from Charleston Marine is prepared for delivery so you can spend less time getting ready and more time on the water. Your new boat includes:

Delivery Preparation & Engine Break-In
Every new boat is river-tested before delivery, and we perform the first hour of engine break-in as part of that process. This gives the engine the best possible start toward long-term reliability and also gives our team time on the water to identify and correct the small issues that can sometimes appear on a brand-new boat before the customer takes delivery.

We can also customize your new boat before delivery with equipment tailored to how you plan to use it. Available upgrades can include:

Charleston Marine Certified Pre-Owned Boats

Not Every Used Boat Earns Our Certification
At Charleston Marine, every used boat goes through a comprehensive inspection and evaluation before being offered for sale. Our experienced marine technicians evaluate the boat's mechanical condition, onboard systems, and on-water performance to identify potential issues before the next owner takes delivery.
Our Pre-Sale Inspection Process Includes:
-
33-Step operational Inspection – Evaluates the operation of onboard systems, including steering, gauges, navigation lights, bilge pumps, trim tabs, electronics, and other installed equipment.
-
Comprehensive Mechanical Diagnostic Inspection – Evaluates engine condition, compression, spark, fuel systems, electrical systems, steering components, and other critical mechanical items.
-
Computerized Engine Diagnostics – (Computer Download) When applicable, we review available engine operating information and diagnostic data using manufacturer-specific diagnostic software.
-
Battery & Charging System Testing – Evaluates battery condition, electrical connections, and charging system performance.
-
River Test & Performance Evaluation – Tests the boat under actual operating conditions to evaluate engine performance, steering, shifting, and overall operation.
-
Written Inspection Results – Documents findings, identifies deficiencies, and provides recommendations for necessary repairs.
-
Overall Appearance – Every used undergoes a visual inspection and grading process to make sure they look as good as they perform.
What Makes a Boat Charleston Marine Certified Pre-Owned?
A used boat earns Charleston Marine Certified Pre-Owned status only after successfully passing our inspection and evaluation process.
Not every boat meets our certification standards. Some boats may still be offered for sale without certification, but we believe buyers deserve to know exactly what they're purchasing.
For boats that don't qualify for certification
the inspection findings are available to prospective buyers, allowing them to make an informed purchasing decision.

Whether you're shopping for a certified pre-owned boat or a more affordable used boat that may need some attention, our goal is simple: give you the information you need to buy with confidence.
